
Using tracermedia technologies, VideoEgg is a rich media advertising network, comprised of over 100 million uniques across more than 900 leading websites, blogs, gaming sites and mobile platforms.
VideoEgg aspired to create an engaging and immersive ad experience with an entirely new pricing model as it relates to online advertising. In partnering with tracermedia, VideoEgg wanted to develop an ad platform for commercial content which charges advertisers only when a user has interacted with the advertisement instead of the well-established frequency of impressions model. This new ad platform had to support stunning interactive advertisements to command the attention of premium brands while introducing the innovative pricing model based on user engagement.
Additionally, the ad tech solution had to support a wide range of desktop browsers and mobile platforms like Google’s Android and the Apple iPhone, while being flexible enough to easily accommodate a variety of layouts with an enormous set of customization options. Finally, there was a strong need to provide robust metrics describing every user interaction with the platform.
tracermedia entered into a long term relationship with VideoEgg to provide an advertising platform to serve as their AdFrames offering. We constructed a JavaScript/Flash offering that allows VideoEgg to provide a highly branded and unique advertising experience, while maintaining the user’s position on the publisher’s web site. Advertisements incorporate audio and video in an eye-catching manner while following industry standards. The result is a client-side experience second to none in the rich media advertising space.
In order to support accounting, provisioning and trafficking departments, the ad tech platform also incorporates a rich set of beacon data that broadcasts interactions with the users and key milestones in the ad presentment process. This server-side data is used to instrument the user’s experience and allows VideoEgg to track their end user’s behavior and provide rich reporting to advertisers and publishers. This type of feedback has also resulted in a variety of incremental technical and behavioral improvements to the platform.
